Competition Results
Thank you for applying to the 2022 Petrichor International Music Competition and for your patience while we reviewed all applications. It was enormously gratifying to receive several hundred applications from 51 countries this year. The necessity of selecting 41 winners and 41 finalists and 152 semi-finalists meant that the jury panel had many difficult decisions to make, and, in some cases, the jury had to choose more than three winners to share prizes.
In the next few weeks, our team will contact the winners, finalists, and semi-finalists to proceed with the next steps.
You have our most sincere gratitude for the decision to share your work with us and for making our selection process extremely challenging and also musically rewarding. We are glad to inform you that this year, because of the quality of the entries, the committee decided to announce 12 (or more) applicants who advanced to the semi-final round in addition to the winners and finalists to honor their talent. The level of applications we received this year was extremely high, and we greatly appreciate you sharing your music with us. We encourage you to consider applying to the 2023 competition as our committee rotates each year.
Due to the number of applications received and the nature of the competition, which is not intended for educational purposes, we are unfortunately unable to provide feedback on individual applications. However, we hope you keep in mind that not being selected this year does not negatively reflect the quality of your application or music or the potential for us to collaborate with you in the future!
Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get updates on our future projects, events, albums, and competitions.
Also, if you have any questions, or have an interesting idea that you want to share with us, please do not hesitate to contact us via email.
