The 3rd annual Petrichor International Music Competition is now open for submissions. This annual musical performance and composition contest provides support, inspiration, and exposure to composers, instrumentalists, singers, ensembles, and orchestras from around the world. Participation will be conducted entirely online.
Soloists, ensembles, and orchestras are required to provide video submissions showcasing their performances. Musicians participating in the composition, electronic music, improvisation, and film music categories are expected to submit either audio recordings or scores of their music. In the best album category, the main artists of the album, such as performers, conductors, and composers, have the option to submit full or partial tracks from an album that has already been released or is upcoming.
ELIGIBILITY
This competition is open to instrumentalists, singers, ensembles, and composers of all ages and nationalities. All musicians are welcome to apply. The Petrichor Artistic Panel and the jurors will carefully review submissions individually and without regard for age, nationality, gender, or musical style.
INSTRUMENTS
All instruments are welcome for this competition.
REPERTOIRE
There is no specific repertoire required to participate in this competition. Each performer has the freedom to determine which piece or pieces to perform. The selected piece could be drawn from a standard repertoire, composed by a living composer, or an original work by the performer. The chosen piece will not affect the jury’s decision-making process. Singers may choose repertoire in any language.
JURY PANEL
Applications will be reviewed by a jury panel consisting of world-renowned musicians from The Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music, Eastman School of Music, and Mannes School of Music. The Jury panel members remain anonymous until the announcement of winners.

All participants will be eligible for a 50% discount on Petrichor Publishing Services, allowing them to release their music on the Petrichor catalog at a reduced rate.

ENTRY GUIDELINES
Participants may apply for multiple categories with the same or different works.
It is not necessary to record in a studio. Please use the best available technology you have available. You may use a smartphone, tablet, or iPad, a computer with a webcam, camcorder, camera, or any other device that can record both audio and video. Multicam videos are accepted.
Videos may be live recordings of concerts
Videos may have been submitted to other competitions in the past.
Each video may contain only one piece. Videos containing multiple pieces must be split and uploaded as separate entries.
Video and audio recordings may be of any length. The maximum upload size is 5 GB.
SUBMISSION FEES
Participants may apply for multiple categories with the same or different works.
For each category, participants can submit as many applications as they wish. There is no limit to the number of videos or compositions you may submit for the competition. Each submission will be reviewed carefully and independently. A separate submission fee should be paid for each entry.

Petrichor Records is an independent record label. We don't have any sponsors for our projects. These entry fees enable us to organize such a wide-ranging competition and offer over $60,000 in prizes to 72 winners and finalists.
